Stormwater Harvesting

Orange City Council has developed two storm water harvesting systems.

The first scheme is located on Blackmans Swamp Creek, to the north east of the city. This scheme catches a a large amount of water from the eastern and southern parts of the city.

The second scheme is located to the north west of the city on Ploughmans Creek. There are four retention basins with extraction points downstream of these ponds on Ploughmans Creek.
